The FABNOB Crew recently received an email from a young pup seeking stickers.

His request struck a chord...

A long time ago, in a galaxy not so far away, SOMEBODY was an avid sticker collector.

At first, any sticker would suffice. If it peeled, it ruled!

But after a few years it became apparent that iconic surf brands such as Rip Curl and Quiksilver had the best stickers in the whole fricking universe! They were bright. The graphics were strong.

SOMEBODY wrote to these surfing institutions every few months begging for them to post back "free stickers."

And they did. They made a point of looking after the kids who looked up to them.

SOMEBODY even wrote to Australia's Surfing Life magazine - who published the unusual request for stickers in their magazine. Snap!

Within weeks stickers started to arrive from all corners of the surfing world...

Victor, a 42-year-old surfer from NYC, sent his whole damn collection! In his accompanying letter he wrote:

"Some are easy to get while some are old and virtually impossible to replace. Some are from once great and proud industrial giants that have since gone under. Some I don't even remember."

SOMEBODY was blown away by Victor's generosity, but failed to write him back. It was a young, dumb thing not to do...

This week, some 10 plus years later, SOMEBODY bit the guilty bullet and wrote Victor a seriously overdue thank you letter.
