A bigger loss, however, would be the departure of Detective Captain Jim Brass.

To put it succinctly: BRASS KICKS ARSE!

The looks he gives off are spot in, and his low key demeanour adds presence in every episode.

JB's interrogations are 100 per cent sarcastic gold...

"Yeah, but bodies keep piling up around you. Why is that? You just having a string of bad luck?"

It's all in the delivery...and Brass nails it every time.

And let's not forget his steady stream of quips and one-liners including this classic to a singing suspect:

"Do I look like Paula Abdul to you?"
